Tabcorp Park Harness Racing Track, Melton, Melbourne

Tabcorp Park was opened in July 2009 as Victoria’s premier harness racing centre with grandstand, entertainment and accommodation facilities.

The 1040 metre track is designed for night racing and is lit with 282 x 2kW Active Reactor metal halide floodlights. Harness Racing Victoria wanted the Active Reactors to deliver the design level of light during races and the ability to dim between the races. This is achieved through network control of the Active Reactors and to date energy savings of 34% have been achieved by the Active Reactors by combined contant lumen and dim modes of operation.

Harness Racing Victoria have also installed Active Reactors at their Bendigo and Swan Hill harness tracks. Over 600 Active Reactors are now installed at harness tracks in Victoria.
